In children, symptoms related to inattention typically include problems maintaining attention on school or homework, frequent daydreaming, forgetfulness, and difficulties organizing tasks or possessions. Hyperactivity symptoms can include difficulty sitting still, frequent fidgeting, reckless or impulsive behaviour, acting as if “driven by a motor,” and talking or interrupting others excessively.
